Students will be introduced to the Ancient Hawaiian way of learning, which is experiential and accessed first through the medium of the body. Hawaiian Shamanic movement meditaitons which balance the hemispheres of the brain and facilitate quantum learning will be taught and practised. Ho'omanamana, a gentle stretching practice which unlocks blocked energies in the body will also be taught, along with principles of proper alignment and breath.
Basic & Intermediate Lomi Lomi technique for the back, legs, neck, arms, and face will be adressed. As 'Feng Shui' for the body, an introduction to Hawaiian Geomancy will be included. Participants will learn a basic protocal for a full session of Lomi Lomi Nui including sequencing, music, closure and ohter ritual aspects of the work. Philosophy and technique of Lomi Lomi Nui can enhance any bodywork / energy work practice.
Course Location (May 7th-11th): Hagal Healing Farm, Bantry Co. Cork. With breath-taking views over the Mealagh valley and Bantry Bay in the distance, Hagal Healing Farm is surrounded by nature and the beautiful, wild landscape of West Cork. Throughout the duration of this course you will enjoy delicious vegetarian meals with many of the vegetables coming from the farm's own organic vegetable garden. Course Location (May 21st-25th): An Sanctoir, Bantry, Co. Cork. West Cork's very own Holistic Community Centre - home to a variety of weekly classes, weekend workshops, performances, rituals and celebrations. It is comprised of a beautiful wooden floored octagonal practice space with underfloor heating, which is set within a 23 acre nature reserve.
Participants will be encouraged to practice the techniques in any free time alotted.
