Very overactive bladder!

Hi, I am a fifty's male. For a year my OAB problem has been chronic, sometimes it's better for a week or two, not sure why, but at the worst times I go to the loo 6 or 7 times in the night, every hour (or half an hour!) in the daytime. The tablets I have been prescribed help sometimes, often not, so my life has become very disrupted and I am exhausted from lack of sleep. I have difficulty focussing my mind and I am getting bad depressions.

The hospital will only see me and do some tests if I can get there by 8.30am (why not some advice one afternoon?!). But .. I live on my own, currently get no help or support whatsoever. It often takes me hours just to get myself out because of the tiredness, dealing with skin pain and eczema (if I am having a bad day in that way). I also can't lift a mug of tea with my left arm without pain (damaged a tendon!).

So, I cannot get much help at the moment and I am pretty fed up. Any advice would be really appreciated, I am wondering if any alternative remedies would help my situation, maybe slow things down, so that I could get some decent sleep.

    Dear Coolfox

I hope you are okay at present and am really sorry to hear that you are having so many health issues. Lack of sleep can cause a lot of stress on the body and would probably make the eczema worse. I am also sorry that no one has been able to write back to you. I have recently joined this Community and only just read your post.

With regards to the ezcema / skin pain and tiredness, I strongly suggest you eliminate yeast, wheat, sugar and dairy from your diet. You could have a candida problem and wheat, yeast and sugar would exacerbate fatigue.

Cut down intake of caffinated tea to maybe just one mug early in the day. Tea is a diuretic so will make you go to the loo more thus dehydrating your body! Also, cut down the amount of water you're drinking from about 2,3 hours before your bedtime.

I know this will sound really difficult however, there are many alternatives that are available in the supermarket...
    - goats milk -tesco, sainsbury, waitrose, M&S (better not to take soya in case you have an under-active thyroid)
    - rye bread - waitrose
    - spelt flour - tesco big branches
    - pasta - tesco, sainsbury, waitrose
    - pizza bases - morrisons
    - caffiene free teas n coffees available everywhere.

I get my products from a combination of the above. If you are unable to leave your home easily, carry shopping... a lot of these deliver if you order online.

Also, strongly suggest you see a nutritionist / dietician - for the above as well as your bladder problem... it could be diet related - better to eliminate it.

Finally, I suggest healing to support yourself... you seem to be having a really tough time. Healing will certainly help your tiredness and lack of energy because just clearing and charging your chakras (energy centres) would mean you become grounded, more aligned and taking in energy from the universe helping you function better. I can work on your kidneys and adrenals (for stress). Graudally, with time we can get to the cause of the bladder problem also.

With the restructuring work I do, I can work on the damaged tendon also to relieve the pain and start and support the mending process.

Now, I know I don't do any work in your area therefore, the healing work would have to be long distant... ie you phone me at the booked time, we chat and then you'd go and lie down whilst I do the energy work. Some people find it hard to get past this concept however, long distance healing is very effective and I have both received and given healings to people being oceans apart and felt the energy. I know they have also felt the work I did. Please read the article called 'Healing From A Distance' at *removed*-view.php?page_id=18 ... you will have to scroll a fair way down to find it but this might help you believe the effectiveness of distant healing.

Try Australian Bush Flower Emergency essence for stress etc. And Vogel's will probably have a herbal remedy to help w/ sleep... your local health food store will be able to help you.

Please call me on (removed) if you wi **** o discuss things directly. In the meantime, I wish you good luck.

    Kind regards

Nutrition advice is the best way to tackle all of these problems If your body's pH is not balanced and you have Acidosis you cannot effectively assimilate vitamins, minerals and food,The bodys pH affects everything,
Acid decrease the bodys ability to repair damaged cells, decrease it's ability to detoxify heavy metals, and makes you more susceptible to fatigue and illness.
An acidic pH can occur from a acid-forming diet, emotional stress and toxic overload. In order to get a more alkaline balance eat more vegetable and fruit. Also make sure you see your doctor to make sure you do not have any Prostate problems.

Paradoxically, try drinking more pure water. OAB indicates very concentrated and acidic urine which drinkig more water will dilute and relieve the problem. Alkilinity is also good to try as mentioned above.

If I don't drink enough water - a gl *** every hour or so through the day - I, too, am up frequently through the night :-(. Also try not to drink any wine or other alcoholic beverage within two hours of going to bed because this is acid and will promote frequent urination.

Extra water might also help with your other problems.

    Best of luck
