Acupuncture to treat my longstanding knee pain

Since a mountain biking accident 3 yeas ago I have had intermittent knee pain.

I had an MRI scan and saw an orthopedic specialist but he couldn't diagnose a problem and I had some physiotherapy but the pain persisted.

I wondered whether acupuncture would be beneficial

Many thanks

    Dear J King

I'm sorry to hear that your knee has troubled you for so long. I've recently joined the Community and so have only seen your reply. Did you manage to get any treatment for it since you wrote here?

I am trained as an energy healer and whilst I feel that acupunture would probably be very helpful, you can also try healing especcially because the doctors dont seem to explain its cause.

It seems that the pain is psychosomatic ie being caused by blocked energy from an earlier life experience. I know your injury was caused by an accident however, when there is a blockage in the energy flow, it creates a weakness in that area and over time it precipitates, manifesting into the physical body.

Through a combination of techniques, I can assist you in finding out what experience it relates to and facilitate your healing journey.

If you have a read thruogh my details on this website, you'll get an idea of my work.

In the meantime, I wish you good luck and good health.

    Kind regards

    Hello J King,
I'm sorry to hear your about your knee. I am not a Acupuncturist, however I just wanted to tell you how much I myself have benefited from acupuncture myself in the past. For me it was particularly useful for pain relief on my knee. I had a session once a week for a few months and the acupuncture kept me pain free during most of the week.

However, I am led to believe not everyone has a response to acupuncture - some people it effects better than others. I have been told be several people it did nothing for them.

I have also have reflexology in the past for a persistent ankle pain which I feel was also successful, this might be something else you might like to try out.

    Best wishes,
    Andrew
