THE WAY I WORK
It is difficult to summarise this, because I try to work according to the needs of each individual. Some people respond well to talking therapy, others find it more helpful to experience hypnotherapy. I aim to work supportively, responding to each person according to their needs.
I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist since 1997. I am qualified to work with you in confidence on any issue. This includes childhood issues, abuse, bereavement, difficulties in relationships, anxiety and depession. Or sometimes just to explore where you are in your life, to take some time each week and focus on what is going on for you.
HYPNOTHERAPY FOR HEALTH
I strongly believe that hypnotherapy can be beneficial to everyone. Because of this, I will teach you how to do self-hypnosis, so that you can be in control of the process, and learn to use this amazing resource for yourself whenever you want to.
I also focus on breathing, and teach diaphragmatic breathing techniques, which will improve your general health and ability to enjoy deep relaxation. Clinical hypnotherapy is very different to stage hypnosis, and is a respectful and gentle therapy.
Hypnotherapy can be helpful for almost everything! In particular, I specialise in:
Relaxation and Stress Management, Difficulties in sleeping, weight control, improving confidence and self esteem, controlling drinking or stopping smoking, positive thinking, pre-mentrual tension, anxiety and stress.
I work with each person as an individual, using a combination of different therapies. I have a background in the arts and also offer creative therapies such as painting, writing and music, and I like working with dreams. This can often help to understand your deeper wishes and needs and unlock hidden potential, enabling you to enjoy your life to the full.

I work in a comfortable room which I hope will be a safe space to talk in confidence. It is located in south east London close to Woolwich, Plumstead, Blackheath, and Eltham, but also quite close to Welling and Bexleyheath in Kent. The nearest tube station is North Greenwich, on the Jubilee line, from which you can take the 486 bus. (It is about a 30 minute journey from North Grenwich by bus) The 89 and 244 bus stop is also nearby. My consulting room is located in a quiet road and there is usually parking available.
FEES
The fee for a first appointment , lasting one and a half hours, is usually £75.00. This allows time for us to talk in confidence, so that I can think about the best way of working with you. After this, further sessions would usually last one hour and the fee would be £50.00.
The only exception to this would be hypnotherapy to stop smoking. I aim to help you to stop smoking in just one session, and the fee for this is £99.00.
LOW COST CLINIC
If you are on a low income, for example on benefits, or a pension, I run a low cost clinic during the day on a Friday. Please ask about this when you contact me, so that we can arrange a lower fee. There is sometimes a waiting list for low cost sessions.
HOW MANY SESSIONS?
Often, a single session can be of help, and a good hypnotherapist will aim to help in as few sessions as possible. Some people choose to continue for several sessions because they find it so enjoyable!
